Obama’s State of the Union finds the country’s greatness in nostalgia instead of a future with innovations and fresh approaches to governance, infrastructure, and energy. It will be mad-libbed indeed.
Economic Equality is dividing?
Apparently GOP leaders (including presidential hopefuls) believe that rich people paying higher tax rates, which are often lower than those levied on working class folks, is divisive and un-American. Gingrich cites the Constitution as one of his primary documents for social and economic policy in the US… does that mean he supports re-instating the 3/5ths rule? The official GOP response says “we must always be a nation of ‘haves’ and ‘soon-to-haves.’” Is that what this country’s elite 1% has taken to calling the rest of us? At capitol HILL we’re too busy processing all this paperwork its hard to notice what’s actually going on…
